Work Description:
|
This color slide features an installation view at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. On the left, a viewer stands before Jackson Pollock’s “Autumn Rhythm (Number 30)” (1950, cropped). Proceeding clockwise, Franz Kline’s “Black, White, and Gray” (1959) is situated to the left of a doorway. To the right of the doorway, Robert Motherwell's "The Homely Protestant" (1948), Barnett Newman's "Concord" (1949), Hans Hofmann's "Veluti in Speculum" (1962), and Mark Rothko's "No. 16" (1960) line the walls.
