Work Description:
This file contains correspondence and ephemera related to The Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles. There are invitations to attend the 1983 openings of their interim space, “The Temporary Contemporary”, and the inaugural show, “The First Show: Painting and Sculpture From Eight Collections 1940-1980”, as well as a reception at Eli and Edye Broad’s home. The correspondence, dated 1984, between Richard Koshalek and Patricia Still plans a meeting between the two at her Maryland home. The final items are clippings from the New York Times and Travel & Leisure Magazine about the opening of the Museum’s permanent home.
