This file contains correspondence between Lucy Banta and Clyfford Still and letters from Patricia Still to Wallace Banta. Banta contacts Still about a portrait of Clyfford Still (PH-752) she received as a gift from Still, they discuss the dates of the work painted in 1924 when Still was 19 years old, the documentation project Patricia and Sandra Still are conducting, the need for photographs of the portrait, and the shipping of the portrait to New Windsor so the Stills can document the work. In 1991 Patricia Still purchases the painting from Wallace Banta for $5,000.
