Work Description:
This color slide depicts an exterior view of the Baltimore Museum of Art in Maryland. Banners announcing "Museum 1982: Grace Hartigan, Morris Louis, Clyfford Still, Anne Truitt: Inaugural Exhibition" hang above the museum's east entrance. On view October 14 through December 5, 1982, the group exhibition featured a selection of paintings and sculptures by four major artists who had lived and worked in the state of Maryland. Organized in conjunction with the inauguration of the newly renovated East Wing, the museum presented each artist’s work in separate gallery spaces. Six loaned paintings represented Still in the exhibition.
