This color slide depicts an installation view of “Museum 1982: Grace Hartigan, Morris Louis, Clyfford Still, Anne Truitt: Inaugural Exhibition” at the Baltimore Museum of Art in Maryland. PH-132 (1960) and PH-571 (1951) line the wall from left to right. In the background, an unidentified painting by Grace Hartigan appears in an adjacent gallery. On view October 14 through December 5, 1982, the group exhibition featured a selection of paintings and sculptures by four major artists who had lived and worked in the state of Maryland. Organized in conjunction with the inauguration of the newly renovated East Wing, the museum presented each artist’s work in separate gallery spaces. Six loaned paintings represented Still in the exhibition.
