Work Description:
|
This color slide features an installation view at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. In the left foreground, David Smith's sculpture "Becca" (1965, cropped) partially obscures Hans Hofmann's "Veluti in Speculum" (1962, cropped), which hangs to the left of a doorway in the background. Clyfford Still's PH-384 (1946) is on display to the right of the doorway, followed clockwise by Jackson Pollock’s “Autumn Rhythm (Number 30)” (1950) and Adolph Gottlieb's "Thrust" (1959). The museum acquired PH-384 from a private collection through the George A. Hearn Fund and Arthur Hoppock Hearn Fund in 1977.
