This color slide depicts an installation view of the exhibition “Clyfford Still: Thirty-Three Paintings in the Collection” at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York. PH-264 (1962) and PH-38 (1955) hang in the gallery from left to right. On view July 8 through August 20, 1978, the exhibition honored Still’s 1964 gift of thirty-one artworks, in addition to the two large paintings previously purchased by the institution. The selection of paintings, spanning the years 1937-1963, demonstrated the evolution of Still’s artistic style.
