Work Description:
This color slide documents Clyfford Still's 1975 gift of twenty-eight paintings to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in California. The paintings lean against the walls of the unfinished T.B. Walker Gallery, which the museum designated as a permanent space to house the artworks. PH-446 (1947), PH-968 (1951-52), and PH-245 (1956, cropped) occupy the gallery from left to right. On the left, Still's eldest daughter, Diane Rocha, appears with her son Roger. In 1976, the museum presented the paintings in the exhibition "Clyfford Still", on view January 8 through April 20.
