This file primarily contains correspondence between Clyfford and Patricia Still, and Sam Hunter in regards to Hunter's writings on modern American painting. There are a couple letters requesting opportunities to consult with Still on his work in order to include them in Hunter's books; these are dated 1955 and 1957. There are also letters written by Patricia Still responding to Hunter's writing and his interest in Still. Lastly, the file contains typed excerpts of Hunter's writing from the 1962 Seattle World's Fair Art Catalogue and a clipping of a review of his 1973 book "American Art in the 20th Century".
