Work Description:
|
This color slide features an installation view at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York. A portion of PH-170 (1947) extends from the left edge of the frame. Proceeding clockwise, PH-301 (1947), PH-103 (1951), PH-113 (1950), and PH-189 (1946) line the gallery from left to right. In May 1964, Still gifted 31 artworks to accompany the two paintings previously purchased by the museum. Spanning the years 1937 to 1963, the ensemble of paintings chronicles the most critical developments of the artist’s career.
