This file contains materials sent from the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) to Clyfford Still primarily concerning exhibitions at the MoMA. It includes a request for a reproduction of a letter from Still to Pollock for a Pollock chronology, invitations to various exhibitions at the MoMA, catalogs including "The Sidney and Harriet Janis Collection: A Gift to The Museum of Modern Art" which includes a reproduction of a Still painting and two catalogs for "The New American Painting and Sculpture: The First Generation" which includes six Stills from the MoMA collection. It also includes newspaper clippings about the MoMA director John Hightower and his tumultuous term as director of the museum, include information about a labor strike at the MoMA, and clippings about the changes to the MoMA in the late 1970s and early 1980s. There are also reproduction requests for painting reproduction for a catalog that Still declines (L No.2 from AKAG), and brochures about the MoMA and its layout. One of the brochures includes handwritten notes for the May to June 1984 painting and sculpture gallery of the locations of various works, likely written out by Sandra Still Campbell.
