This file contains correspondence between Gary Goldberg and Clyfford Still. Golderberg reaches out to Still to see if Still ever created collages or used paper in the process of making paintings for a book about American collage and its relationship to American painting. Still tells Goldberg that he briefly explored collage in the mid-1930s, but destroyed them as they were unsatisfactory. Goldberg requests photographs of these collages for his book, but the Clyfford Still Archives does not have a record of Still responding.
