This file contains correspondence primarily between the Whitney Museum of Modern Art and Patricia Still or Sandra Still Campbell. The first object is a mini-catalog of Introduction to 20th Century American Art which has selections from the Permenant Collection at the Whitney Museum (Still is not featured in the catalog), Nancy McGary, Registrar, sends complementary admittance to Clyfford Still to the Whitney in 1979 and invitations to their celebrations and openings. Sandra Still sends a headshot of Clyfford Still to the Whitney. Patricia Still captures news articles form the New York Times and New Yorker about the Whitney from 1981-1988. The Whitney reaches out to Patricia Still about doing an exhibition of Clyfford Still's works on paper which Patricia declines to aid in. Later the Whitney wants to create a catalog for their permanent collection including a photograph of every artist and Patricia supplies a black and white photograph of Clyfford Still holding a pallet knife. The museum asks to reproduce Untitled 1957 for a three part exhibition "The American Century: Art and Culture 1900-2000" which Patricia declines and is unhappy that the Whitney sometimes misspells Clyfford's name. There are a number of undated materials that are likely from the mid-1970s, including catalogs for their "Subjects of the Artist" show in 1975, various Whitney Msueum scheduldes and brochures, and a postcard from Sandra Still about seeing Still's work at the Whitney.
