This file contains correspondence between Clyfford Still and Sidney and Hansi Janis which includes discussion on the payment for the white painting (PH-847), possibilities of a Still show (Clyfford Still declines), the one-man Albright-Knox Art Gallery show 1959 and the possibility of purchasing some pieces from that show (1947-Y - already spoken for, 1950-A - Still keeps, and 1957-J - possible to sell, but doesn't seem to go to Janis), Janis also discusses seeing a black and white Still at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1978 which Still appreciates and discusses his love of black as a color, Still and Janis discuss Still's recent use of pastels in his work in 1978 though Still refuses to sell them he'd like to show them, finally Janis expresses his condolences upon Clyfford Still's death, and a copy of "Seven Decades of Twentieth-Century Art" from the Sidney and Harriet Janis Collection of the Museum of Modern Art.
