A letter to Mark Rothko and Barnett Newman discussing how Still's work is slowly changing to eliminate light and transcend pigment. In an artist statement Still discusses his critique of other artists being unable to escape the academy. Still also talks about taking a recent show down and how the impact of his work on the public caused intense feelings.
