Work Description: 
This color photograph depicts an installation view of the exhibition “Paintings by Clyfford Still” at the Albright Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York. PH-198 (1943, cropped), PH-203 (1943), PH-169 (1941), and PH-751 (1944) line the walls from left to right. On view November 5 through December 13, 1959, the retrospective featured seventy-two artworks curated by Still himself. In 1964, the artist made a landmark gift of 31 paintings to the museum.
