This hand-drafted floor plan outlines the arrangement of artworks shown in the exhibition “Paintings by Clyfford Still” at the Albright Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York. Although the floor plan includes all of the museum’s south wing galleries, this document only records the locations of paintings within the upper-left gallery space. Numbers and lines designate the placement for each specific artwork. A typed key links the numbers to the titles of the corresponding paintings. On view November 5 through December 13, 1959, the retrospective featured seventy-two artworks curated by Still himself. In 1964, the artist made a landmark gift of 31 paintings to the museum.
