This black and white photograph depicts an installation view of the exhibition “Clyfford Still” at the Betty Parsons Gallery in New York. From left to right, PH-943 (1948), PH-114 (1947-48), and PH-373 (1949, cropped) occupy the gallery space. PH-373 hangs upside down. On view April 17 through May 6, 1950, the exhibition was Still’s second one-person show with the gallery. The artist renounced Parsons’ representation in September 1951.
