Work Description:
This black and white photograph depicts a farmer named Carl Gohl guiding a horse-drawn combine harvester against a flat landscape near Bow Island, Alberta, Canada. A team of six horses pulls the machine through the wheat field. The distinct horizon line divides the field from the sky. Prints 731, 732, 733, and 734 were stapled together with five staples at the bottom edges. Images all seem to depict work on J. E. Still's and nearby farms, by the Stills and neighbors, in Bow Island, Alberta, Canada.
