Work Description:
|
This black and white photograph depicts Clyfford Still's home at 312 Church Street in New Windsor, Maryland. Photographed from the interior of the artist's Lincoln Continental, the austere structure appears in three-quarter view. Three sets of tall, white columns support the porch's awning, which extends to the rooftop above the front entrance. On the top floor, the rounded shape of a circular addition mirrors the curved slope of the ground-level wraparound porch. Trees, bushes, and other small plants populate the yard.
