Work Description:
|
In this color portrait, Roger Rocha, Clyfford Still's first grandchild, poses before an ornate fountain at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. Rocha, who is about five-years-old in this photograph, looks directly at the camera and smiles widely. He wears dark brown slacks and a navy blue jacket over a gray shirt. Two blurred figures, a man and a woman, explore the museum's atrium in the background. Clyfford Still created a painting, PH-868 (1972-1973), from this portrait.
