Work Description: 
In this black and white photograph, a speaker presents a speech at the podium onstage at the 1967 Maryland Institute College of Art commencement ceremony, which took place at the Mount Royal Station. The college converted the former train station into art studio spaces in 1967. Clyfford Still sits behind the podium among the other honorary degree recipients. Outfitted in a ceremonial robe, Still looks to his left. A railroad car occupies the space beneath the train shed in the background.
