In this black and white photograph, Clyfford Still stands at the podium and accepts an honorary degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art. As he shakes the hand of the speaker, a man at the base of the stage photographs the event. The 1967 commencement ceremony took place at the Mount Royal Station in Baltimore. The college converted the former train station into art studio spaces earlier that year.
