In this black and white photograph, Clyfford Still appears onstage at the 1967 Maryland Institute College of Art commencement ceremony, which was held outdoors at the Mount Royal Station in Baltimore. The college acquired and converted the former train station into art studio spaces in 1967. Still and a group of additional recipients line the stage. He wears a black robe and holds a cap and honorary degree. In the foreground, a man wearing a cap and robe marches forward with an American flag.
