In this black and white photograph, Clyfford Still poses onstage at the 1967 Maryland Institute College of Art commencement ceremony, which was held at Mount Royal Station in Baltimore. The college converted the former train station into art studio spaces in 1967. Smiling at the camera with the other award recipients, Still wears a cap and robe and holds an honorary degree. In the foreground, a man stands in front of the camera and partially blocks the view of the stage.
