Work Description:
In this color portrait, Clyfford Still and Antony Armstrong-Jones, Earl of Snowdon, appear in the artist's home at 312 Church Street in New Windsor, Maryland. Still, who wears a painter's smock over his clothing, faces forward and looks directly at the camera. Situated in profile, Snowdon turns his head to look at Still. PH-171 (1944) hangs on the wall in the background. Snowdon photographed Still for the article "Clyfford Still: Still, the Enigma" by Katharine Kuh, which appeared in the February 1970 issue of "Vogue."
