This wall label lists the paintings shown by Clyfford Still in the exhibition "15 Americans" at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The untitled artworks are referred to only by their dates, while directional information indicates their placement in the gallery. On view April 9 through July 27, 1952, the group exhibition featured a diverse range of representational and abstract artworks by fifteen American painters and sculptors. Curator Dorothy Miller arranged for the presentation of multiple compositions by these artists, which served as a departure from typical contemporary art surveys wherein one artwork represented each artist. Still exhibited seven paintings in a gallery space exclusively dedicated to his artwork alone.
