In this black and white studio portrait, a young Clyfford Still poses before a dark backdrop. Seated upon a wooden stool, Still rests his left leg over his right knee. Turning his head to look to the left, he holds his left leg in his right hand and grips the side of the stool with his left hand. Still wears a loose-fitting shirt with ornamental buttons, matching shorts, long black socks, and a bow tie. A fur rug covers a portion of the floor.
