Work Description: 
This black and white portrait commemorates Clyfford Still's graduation from college at Spokane University in Washington. The artist graduated June 8, 1933 with a Bachelor's degree in public school art. Appearing in three-quarter view, Still faces right and looks downward. He wears round glasses and a graduation cap with a black robe over a white shirt and bow tie. A light source from the right illuminates the left side of the artist's face.
