Work Description:
In this black and white family portrait, a young Clyfford Still poses on the front porch of his childhood home in Spokane, Washington with his mother, Sarah Johnson Still, and father, John Elmer Still. Still and his mother both look at the camera, but his father looks off into the distance to the left. Still stands upon the porch's steps and wears a black hat, double-breasted coat, long underwear, and boots. His mother wears a bonnet with a blouse and a long skirt. His father wears a gray three-piece suit and a fedora. Leafless branches frame the brick house's porch.
