Work Description:
|
A large crimson red bulbous form floats at the center of this composition. It rests upon a grayish-brown mass that extends from the lower left corner. A deep maroon mass surrounds the crimson form along its top edge and down along its right, running off those respective canvas edges. A small isolated gray form floats at the top right corner. Three tall vertical figures originate in the grayish-brown form at bottom center and stand parallel to one another, growing into the crimson form at center. The vertical form at left is rendered in mottled brownish-orange pigment, while the two at right are painted with yellow. All forms in the work are bordered by a perimeter of exposed canvas, setting them apart from one another. Exposed canvas areas also reside along the bottom edge and left center edge.
