Work Description:
|
A brownish-gray form emerges from the lower left and central quadrants in front of a deep black background, which dominates the rest of the canvas. The upper edge of the brownish-gray form rises into two parallel totems, while its lower portion is shaped like an arch, allowing the black background to peak through near the bottom center/left edge. A crimson red form rises from the bottom along the right edge, diminishing in thickness as it rises to the top right corner. A stark white form sits at the bottom left edge, a small bright yellow dagger-shaped passage juts into view from the top right edge, and another small yellow streak creeps into view over the red at the bottom right edge. A thin orange lifeline enters the composition from the upper left edge and runs at a slight downward-sloping diagonal before trailing off in the right half of the composition, just left of the red form. Several cobalt blue flecks are sprinkled throughout the black void near the top right corner.
