Work Description:
|
Two abstracted figures are depicted working some sort of machine. The figures' bodies and limbs merge with one another, the golden machine, and the space around them creating a tangled mass of body parts and mechanical elements. The forms are flattened through the use of thick outlines and stylized purple and blue planes, thus pushing the entire scene to the front of the picture plane. The brown space surrounding the forms suggests what might be a natural setting.
