Work Description:

A deep mahogany brown fills the majority of this horizontal composition. Shots of crimson red, cobalt blue, and ocher add interest to the right half of the canvas. Irregularly-shaped areas of bare canvas exist at the top right corner, top edge, bottom edge and left edge. Together with the other colored forms, these anomalous jolts push and pull against the dominant brown surface, blurring the line between two and three-dimensions.
