Work Description:
|
This small canvas work seems to have been cut from a larger composition, as all of its edges are cut and slightly uneven. Nonetheless, it is signed in the lower left corner and thus must have been considered a complete work in and of itself. A thin vertical strip of dark emerald green runs along the left edge of the composition, just to the left of a white expanse that runs across just past the midway point of the work. The rest of the composition to the right edge is filled with a bright red pigment. A gray form enters from the top edge just right of center, dividing the white and red fields of color.
