Work Description:
|
This represents the left half of what was a larger landscape painting depicting trains and grain elevators. The artist has cut the work down the middle. This fragment depicts loosely painted yellow-orange and green grasses in the foreground beneath a crisp blue-green open sky. An orange grain elevator is seen in background, near the paper's right center edge. A curved smoke-stream is seen along the upper right edge, originating from an unknown source cut away from this composition. Pale purple-blue and white buildings are just visible along the horizon line, shown just below center.
