Several farmers are shown digging and working in a field in this horizontally-oriented pen and ink drawing. One of the men stands upright with his body facing the viewer, his legs slightly spread into a strong, steadfast stance, and his head turned. Two horses are depicted in the background towards the left edge, and a telephone pole is seen at the top center.
