Work Description:
|
Composed of muddy brown and golden yellow interlocking forms, this composition embodies Still's nearly fully abstract artistic style. Vertical gold, brown, black and white jagged figures crowd the left vertical third of the canvas, while the rest of the composition is divided horizontally with a light brown region dominating the lower half and dark brown-almost black pigment filling the top. A golden presence enters the top right corner before curving back down and off the right edge of the canvas. A two legged maroon form stands upright in front of the horizontally divided right side of the work, and has brighter red lifelines running through its figure from the bottom edge all the way up to its apex at top center.
