Work Description:
|
A farmer is shown from the behind emptying water or oats into a bright red horse trough just left of center in this small oil on paper composition. Horses stand around the trough; two are isolated along the right edge of the painting. Four towering grain elevators are shown silhouetted in the background, and a tall pole bisects the scene along its left edge.
