Work Description:
|
Though most of this canvas was left unpainted, the dynamic composition is activated through Still's use of fluttering wisps of white, black yellow and red. The main form is painted with black pigment and rises from the bottom right corner up to the top left. A yellow passage flickers near the black form's lower right edge, while flashes of white ignite the bare canvas areas surrounding the main form. A single crimson form sits at the top left edge.
