Work Description:
|
In this brightly lit landscape scene, a maroon train speeds along the horizon, leaving only a jagged, vertical trail of smoke rising from the black engine to the top edge of the canvas at right. Tire tracks in the immediate foreground at right lead back towards the train, a towering grain elevator, and other rural structures in the background. A fence post, pile of rocks and tuft of grass dot the scene in the lower left foreground.
