Work Description:
|
A multitude of fluttery black palette-knife strokes gather together to form larger fields of matte black that fill the lower two-thirds of this large horizontal canvas. Similarly shaped black forms are gathered along the top center edge, sandwiching a horizontal area of bare canvas between the larger black form below and that which sits along the top edge. Three to four jagged orange forms rest within this bare canvas space at the center, and a tiny yellow dab of paint floats at the center of these orange forms creating a central focus point from which the rest of the composition seems to emanate. A white lightning-like figure juts through the black form from the bottom right edge, and a small blue lifeline rises into the black from the bottom left edge. Lastly, a blue dab of paint rests atop the lower black form near the left edge and act as a balance to the white form at right.
