Work Description:
|
Still left the majority of this canvas unpainted, with the exception of one large dark form at right and several smaller forms scattered along the composition's edges. The largest form is composed of an deep umber brown. It enters the composition from the right edge and runs horizontally across the center before ending in a downward-pointing hook near bottom left. Patches of black are scattered through the form and a tiny patch of orange sits along its top center edge. A barely-visible area of deep blue rests along the bottom edge of the canvas just right of center, and an unsettling, brown linear stroke creeps in from the top left edge. This line ends in a point within the top left quadrant, and a small patch of yellow sits atop its lowest point.
