Work Description:
|
A large menacing black form juts into the composition from the top left corner, filling the work's entire top left quarter and ending in a sharp point just below center. A mottled white field surrounds the black form, and two medium sized forms—one blue and one red—interrupt the white space as they enter from the bottom and right edges, respectively. The blue form at the lower left is streaked with black and flecks of emerald green, while the red form at right seems to have been painted over a darker pigment, which peeks through the thinly painted top red layer. Two yellow forms hover within the black shape at top left, and an orange lifeline floats over the white space near the bottom right, directly to the left of the red form. Lastly, three small darker red forms emerge from the white field near the top right edge.
