Work Description:
|
Black pigment in various tones and levels of reflectance covers this monumental horizontal canvas. A rich, velvety black pigment fills the majority of the work, and is split by a glossier, charcoal-gray vertical form that runs from top to bottom edge just right of center. A jagged gray lifeline runs through the core of the vertical form. Two other glossier, charcoal forms are visible near the bottom right quadrant: one hovers near the bottom edge just to the right of the larger form, and the other sits along the bottom right corner. A thin orange vertical form hugs the left edge from bottom to just above center.
