Work Description:
|
This strange, almost surrealist composition is painted primarily with a swirling tan, cream and gray background. An otherworldly form is positioned at the bottom center of the work with tendrils reaching out and up along the left center of the composition, alluding to the ribs found in some of his early sketches of decaying horse and cow carcasses. Two vertical presences rise along the right edge of the composition: one is painted in yellow and red, while the other is composed of a spiky white form with a tall blue extension reaching towards the top edge of the work.
