Work Description:

A black form rises from the bottom edge into a composition filled with maroon and ocher. Smaller, vertically oriented forms in blue, red, maroon and yellow hover in space around the black form's top edge, isolated from the surrounding forms by thin borders of unpainted canvas. A white form rises above them all and sits at the canvas' top center, also separated from the ocher background by unpainted canvas.
