Work Description:
|
Various intermingling forms rendered in browns, maroons, blacks and cream-colored pigments fill the center of this horizontally oriented work. Mechanistic and anatomical forms merge, such as the wrench-like form at right that also recalls an arm or leg bone. References to rib-cages, gears, and eyes all are shown amidst the tangle of menacing shapes and angles. The background is rendered in a dark chocolate brown pigment, though an otherworldly glow emanates from behind the mass at center. A glowing orange orb rests at bottom right, likening the scene to a landscape or other surrealistic natural environment.
