Work Description:
|
A single female figure sits in a gloomy landscape that resembles a farm. She leans upon a red structure that cuts across the composition horizontally and diagonally, creating a disjointed, uncomfortable mood. She holds the red machinery in her oversized proper left hand, sticks her proper left leg and oversized foot off at a sharp angle to the right. She holds a yellow, vertical pole in her proper right hand and wears a pale green skirt and no shirt. Her bare, bony shoulders jut into space at awkward angles, and she meets the viewer's gaze with a direct stare.
