Work Description:
|
Varied in both texture and reflectance, thick volcanic black pigment fills the entire composition. A single red lifeline enters the black depths from the top edge and trails off into an unintelligible point somewhere below center. An unexpected yellow strip of canvas lines the lower left edge of the work. A black amoeba-like form floats near the bottom right edge, bordered by a thin perimeter of exposed canvas and surrounded on all sides the rich black and charcoal pigment.
